Hi there!! I’m currently a sophomore at my local community college: College of San Mateo! I’m applying for the Psychology program at Northeastern and this is my top choice, however I’m hoping my academics are in the right range.
I am half Peruvian, half White and am a first-generation family member attending college. My dad is a blue-collar worker—drives buses for local transit—and my mother cleans houses. Our socioeconomic status is lower middle-class (I would guess).
I’ve taken 43 units so far, so I won’t be needing to send in HS stats. Will be enrolled with 57 units if accepted.
College GPA: 3.42
1st semester: 3.7
2nd semester: 3.05 (not too hot taking 17 units for the first time)
3rd semester: 4.00
4th semester: 3.58
Will be taking an Applied Calculus course this upcoming semester.
