Chances of transferring to NYU from a state school?

I am currently a freshman at a state school in Pennsylvania who is looking to transfer to NYU next fall. NYU is the only school that I have found which offers the major I plan on pursuing; International Public Health/ Pre-Med (International Public Health is usually a graduate study). I will do anything to improve my chances to get into NYU so please help me out.

High School Stats:

GPA was a 2.1 Unweighted and a 2.3 Weighted (Yes I am ashamed)
I took 5 AP classes and 6 DE (college courses) throughout high school
I was involved in 3 extracurricular activities with leadership position in two of the three
My SAT and ACT were 1490 and 21 (respectively)

College Stats:

Since it's my first semester of college I currently have no GPA here, but based on my grades so far (all A's) I believe I can get a 4.0 by the end of my first year.
I am going to join at least 2 clubs and perhaps do a club sport (not too competitive) in the spring
I am looking to do a volunteer program abroad this summer
I plan on retaking my SAT and ACT

Based on this information do you guys think I might get in? If not what can I do to improve my chances? This is my goal and I'm willing to do what needs to be done. I finally found something I am passionate about and I want to succeed.

This semester my classes are:
Cultural Anthropology
Psychology 101
French 1
College Reading/Study Skills*
Exercise*
*required by my current university

I plan on taking French 2, Public Speaking, and Intro to College Algebra. I want to take Biology 101 as well but I can't get into the Biology class. The school gives Biology majors priority on the Biology classes, although I am signing up for a wait list.Is there any classes in particular that will improve my chances of getting into NYU? A lot of the classes I need for the International Public Health/ Pre-Med major are not offered here (minus the science classes I can't get into).

Your chances are slim to none, because NYU will use your HS grades to make admission decisions. Perhaps you can do better as a Junior transfer, providing you are full pay and got very good grades in the current school.

I think it might be a little difficult to transfer to NYU next fall with your stats. I agree with what the guy above me saiid, it’s going to be very hard to prove that you are NYU material with those HS stats, especially with your test scores. A junior year transfer with two great years behind you could probably be much better, since you’ll have more proof that you won’t perform like you did in high school for the admissions officer to put faith in.
