Chances of transferring to U of Chicago or Northwestern

I'm a current sophomore attending Creighton University and would like to hear people's opinions on my chances of transferring to either University of Chicago or Northwestern University.

Major: Political Science and Economics
My GPA: 3.3 out of 4.0
Highlights: Have taken graduate level courses in econometrics and also done meaningful research with faculty. I will also be in an internship position at a consulting firm in Chicago this summer. Also doing independent study on quantitative research.

SAT: Math 750; reading 580; writing 610 (score are 3 years old)

So my question is, is it feasible? In addition, would it be a smart idea to transfer after completing my sophomore year?

Northwestern and UChicago accept fewer than 8% of their transfer applicants, and my guess is that most who apply have a GPA higher than 3.3. Statistically speaking, your odds aren’t good.

Oops I meant to have typed in 3.8 not 3.3

Will UChicago and Northwestern even take a junior transfer? (That is, a transfer who will be a junior when they apply)

I don’t know about UChicago and NW specifically but most schools do take Junior transfers (as in, will enter new school as junior).
