I'm applying to UCLA & UCSD for fall of 2014 and would like to hear some opinions on what my chances are of being admitted.

I'm currently in my third year of my undergrad studies at a CSU and my cumulative GPA is a 3.19, I know its literally a tad lower than UCLAs required GPA (.01 to be exact) but I obviously plan on bumping it up during the 2013-2014 school year. Will they take that into consideration when reviewing my app or will it be an automatic rejection because of my GPA? I'm applying to transfer into UCLA as an art history major (a major that isn't impacted) does this increase my likelihood of getting in? Some of my background info. includes working part time my entire undergraduate career, volunteering at the Natural Science Museum in LA, presenting at composition conference's for the CSU that I attend, and receiving honorable mentions for my writing while at CSU.

UCLA is my first choice and UCSD is my second. I'm applying to UCSD as a media major and their minimum GPA requirement is a 3.0 so I'm not as worried as I am about UCLA, but I would still like to hear any recommendations on how to increase my chances of being admitted or opinions anyone might have on my chances of getting into either schools.
