Would anyone mind to evaluate my chance of being admitted/deferred/rejected by USC Marshall?
GPA: 3.3 (switched major from computer science)
Major GPA: 3.7
Micro Econ honors: A
Macro Econ honos: A
English writing: B+
Math: IP

Do anyone know how heavy USC evaluate withdrawn classes?
How has my GPA been: It began really bad when I first attend college, but one quarter I decided to do some crazy stuff, joined honors program and exceeds hella units, and boosted up my GPA by tons. from likea 2.8 to 3.3 (right before application).

PS: 7/10 (I give myself)
EC: little, some are okay, 1-2 very strong ones

USC Marshall is pretty difficult to transfer into…I would say your GPA even with the upward trend is not going to cut it.

This is only my opinion but I would have to say rejected. Your overall GPA is not nearly as close to the average admitted applicant to USC Marshall which is a 3.8. Still worth a shot at trying though.

Also having more than 2 W’s is counted against you, so it’s not good to have too many. Your upward trend doesn’t seem to help unless it was an extremely large boost such as one whole grade.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other 2 posts, I think the GPA is just a bit too low, even with that upward trend. However, if you’re set on trying to go to USC, definitely still send in the application, maybe there’s something in your application that they’ll really like1

3.8 for average admitted applicants? Is that really true?
I have 4-5 friends who got admitted last year, and none of them were even over 3.6 tho. The friend who possessed a 3.6 didn’t even have honors credit.

That’s why it is an average…
most have 3.8 but of course other factors like EC and work exp. are included too that allow other applicants with <3.8 to be accepted as well
