Hello everyone! Currently a freshman engineering student at Virginia Tech, in state. I’m looking into possibly transferring to UVA after the first year.
My high school GPA was a 4.26 and I was ranked 48/600. I received a 30 on the ACT and I never took the SAT.
For my first semester at Virginia Tech, I received a 3.9 GPA overall. I have a small officer position for a small engineering organization but its really not a big deal. I’m in a lot of social/fun clubs at VT but overall I’d say my EC’s are nothing fancy.
What are my chances of getting into UVA as a transfer? I can’t find a lot of information about transfer admissions to UVA. Their website says the average GPA is a 3.5 but I feel like its much higher than that. They also said that most transfers come from NVCC so I don’t know how going to a 4 year university would affect my chances.
If anybody has any idea what chance I have of getting accepted as a transfer, or has any advice on how to increase my chances, I would greatly appreciate it!
