Hello everyone.
So I know the whole “What are my chances?” post are very much cliche but i figured it was worth the shot to get some insight. I was just wondering what my chances are of getting accepted into Boston University as a transfer student. I am currently a freshman at the University of New Hampshire and I am majoring in Biomedical Sciences on a Pre-Med tract. Here’s what my application would look like…
College GPA: 4.0
-also part of the honors college
HS GPA: 3.44
Old SAT: 1830
Eagle Scout - for my project I fund-raised over $1,800 and made many various improvements to my local town beach like building an 8-foot kiosk from scratch
EC’s:
-Best Buddies: a club that pairs you up with someone with mental disabilities and you get to develop a one on one friendship with them
-Project Sunshine: we visit local hospitals and spend time in the pediatric ward playing with kids
-Students for St. Jude’s: Fundraising for St. Jude’s hospital
-few other clubs in HS as well
Over 100 hours of community service
Currently taking an EMT course and looking to volunteer as an EMT in the next few months
I know that on BU’s website the average college GPA that they accept is a 3.5 but I was wondering since I’ve only had one semester of classes behind me will my 4.0 not be considered as seriously?
Thanks so much!!!
