Your GPA is a little low, although you said your HS is known for being extremely difficult - that’s where knowing class rank helps. Definitely retake your SAT, though, and try to get a 2100+. Ideally 2200+. Good luck!

I agree that your GPA is low, but you need to put it into context with what students from your school have achieved. Do you have Naviance? This would at least give you an idea of where you stand with others before you. WUSTL is, like many other schools, getting more and more competitive. My son starts there tomorrow, and I don’t think he could have picked a better school to attend.

GPA is low. But your other stats a fairly good, but somewhat average, with the exception of a few things. I would say it is a reach for you right now. Good luck though!

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1544406-chance-me-please-duke-notre-dame-johns-hopkins-etc-ill-chance-you-back.html

I also have around 400 community service hours. Hope that adds alot :3

Actually I do use Naviance, and some students in my range have been accepted while others have not. My counselor told me not to strictly base my chances off of Naviance, so that is why I am asking on this forum.
Thanks

I chanced back to ruprex and picklechicken37

Also, do you think it’s a close to a high reach, like I shouldn’t even consider WashU, or it’s like a low reach?

Thanks for chancing back.

I’d call it more of a low reach, but toward the middle. It’s not out of reach - if it had been, that’s when I give people “high reach.” I’d say it’s a solid reach for you.

I have been searching for a listing of national rankings for private/catholic high schools. Who or where did the national recognition come from?

It would be a reach because of the low GPA and very average ACT/SAT scores
