Hi, I was hoping you all could give me my chances at getting into BC as a transfer student for fall 2008?

Bio: white female, from Maryland

HS Info:
GPA: 3.4 unweighted, trending upward after freshman year, lots of honors classes, graduated from an advanced program at my HS, top 100 HS (according to Newsweek rankings)
SATS: M:690, W:710, CR: 710
SAT IIs: US History: 730, English Lit: 750, World History: 670
APs: 11 Tests (5’s on US Gov, Environmental Science, Statistics, English Lit, Psychology, 4’s on US History, English Lang, World History, Comparative Politics, 3’s on Art History and European History) Got the National AP Scholar award, plus all the lower AP awards (3 others)
EC: Captain of a 40 person equestrian team (junior and senior year), did a 7 hour/week internship helping disabled students at my HS

College Stuff:
3.8-4.0 GPA at a good school (think stats similar/slightly better than Boston University but located in the mid-atlantic, fairly well known).
Can get good recs and do a great essay (I have really clear reasons for wanting to transfer, etc.)

Also, I applied to BC as a freshman (but I was careless with the app) and ultimately didn’t get in.

Where are you at currently? That makes a difference. You dropped some hints., but I couldn't tell exactly what you were talking about. But your gpa is great, just based on that alone, you likely would get in. I don't know this for sure, but I've heard it's harder than ever to transfer into BC.

Seriously, this has to be one of lousiest answers ever posted.

If you're a student here and are dissatisfied explain why. Here's how.

Identify your background (religion, race, income bracket for example).
Explain what was your expectation of BC before you came.
Did it meet your expectation?
Why did it fail?
Was it your fault or the school's?

Let me demonstrate:
Identify your background (religion, race, income bracket for example).
- Male; no religion; pretty sure I'm Asian; does not live in poor house, but no McMansion.

Explain what was your expectation of BC before you came.
- Expected it to be a conservative with a lot of Catholic students. Expected great professors

Did it meet your expectation?
- It exceeded my expectation. It's not conservative, mostly moderate. It does have a lot of Catholic students. The professors are fantastic (not all, but a good 85%+ are amazing). People are friendly.
