Chances on BS/MD Programs

Hello everyone, I’m a High School senior applying to several BS/MD programs. I am looking for “lower-tier” programs to apply to. Could you please give your opinion over the chances I have on each of the programs listed and any other 8-yr BS/MDs I should apply for (which don’t give any in-state requirements). You are well rounded and have good chances. But it will help to suggest some programs if you state given. It appears you are from Texas, and if so, there are few programs just for Texas students. Also Rice/Baylor, Baylor/Baylor, U of Rochester etc. But any reason, why you would like to apply only to low tier programs. If you are thinking that may increase you odd, it may not be true since it is so hard to predict which programs selects which students on what basis etc., You can also explore OU, Tulsa, U of Houston, Stonybrook. Drexel is no longer a true BS/MD guaranteed program.

Thanks for the feedback @GoldenRock ! I am not applying to Rice/Baylor and other programs like them because although there may not be such thing as a low tier program, there is a big difference between programs like Rice/Baylor or Northwestern compared to any other less well-known programs. My Subject SAT scores were not very good (below 700) and I don’t have time to change them and that is another reason why I am avoiding many very well-known programs.

@RedRocketz Apply to whatever you decide. But note, you don’t have declare your SAT subjects test scores. Since you have taken ACT and 34 is good and state only that. Not every programs requires subject tests. So review each program requirements carefully and finalize your list.

Don’t make any premature conclusion, just because you have low SAT subject scores. You have done lot of other stuff which many may not have done. Don’t underestimate what you have accomplished.

Consider VCU or GW

@GoldenRock Ok, I will look into these programs. Also, thank you for the link to the 2019 Applicants. I’ll probably post my stats there also and get more feedback

@RedRocketz How was your VCU Interview? Can you provide more specific information over the questions and the overall experience…
