I'm an undergrad at Virginia Tech and I applied to transfer to Cornell and BC for Economics. Has a) anyone heard from these schools (I read the posts that decisions come out this week for Cornell)

Major- Economics and English

High school
GPA- 3.55-3.7 (my high school changed the calculating system when I was starting my jr. year so our grades could be calculated different ways and it depends on how a school weights things)
sat- 1300 SAT
aps- three 4's= english, micro, macro and a 3 on psych
Rec- high school teacher who is now a superintendent of k-12 district, coach of my FED challenge team (placed semi-finals NY district), rec was strong
Ec's- good- presentor on fed challenge, vollunteer work, borders job, national honor society, ect

College
CGPA 3.65
course load- engineering calc both semesters, linear algebra, the earth and life through time, creative writing, intro to critical analysis and literature, antitrust and regulation, rescourses geo, two geo labs, poli sci

Est. Mid term Grades *not factored into the 3.65 - all A, A- or B (in Engineering Calc, but VT is an eng. school and I'm an Econ major so it's considered good to be in that math track)
Rec- from the undergraduate director of econmics, strong rec, i have the proff for antitrust and regulation (a 3000 level class) and it's mostly jrs and graduating srs

Essays- I mean I guess they were good, I tend to think essays are pretty standard in general, because you present yourself in a positive light

EC's *college- model un (representative in georgetown), intramural sports, face to face (a national program about current events), vollunteer for YMCA, tutor, vollunteer for career services...

...so has anyone been accepted to either of these schools in the past (Cornell CAS or BC) and do I seem like a competitive canidate? thanks for reading/any advice :-)
