Chances on getting in?

Thanks in advance for your opinions, and please be honest .
I go to school in Chapel Hill, and i've heard they are a bit more selective with kids from this area... so i'm a bit nervous. My dad got his PhD at UNC and my sister is currently in grad school there, if those make a difference.

There is probably more stuff I have forgotten but these are the basic things.

I've worked really hard on my essays, and feel strong about them. One regards my interest in sports science and discusses an arm injury I had when I was younger. The other discusses the impact Appalachia Service Project had on me. I'm thinking about sports science/medicine, and have a good recommendation from my science teacher of three years.

Thanks again :)

I don’t usually post on chances threads, but I wrote my essay last year about ASP :)

I think you may be okay  lucky.

cool, thanks! any other opinions?

How poor on the reading?

It depends on your school and transcript. Talk with your counselor about all this. I would recommend that you get your app in ASAP and then worry later about your chances. No matter what, you will apply regardless of any discouraging comments, so don’t worry and get to it.
