I applied under the electrical engineering program...

and my sister goes to Princeton

Let me know please!

I just love the marimba player thing. What is your academic passion or differentiation? Stats are fine.

Legacy status only applies to parents at pton

While I won't have legacy, will a brother-sister relationship help at all?

i dont think so...i know an alum who's sister applied, she had better grades, test-scores, and more leadership, and she didn't get in, so i think a lot of it is the authencity of your app - siblings dont matter, because they havent become active, significant donating alums yet...so unless your brother is a millionaire helping erect whitman

Hi SantasHelper,

Princeton is actively seeking more engineering students, and your AMC/AIME score should tip the probability a bit (although it isn't earth-shatteringly awesome, it's still within the range of top math students). I'd say you have an excellent chance making it into Princeton early, but nothing is certain these days.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

looks up

funkbunk say what? Princeton "is actively seeking more engineering students"? Where did you hear that? Is it just heresay?

'Twould be awesome news if true.

Your stats look very promising to me. You are one of the most qualified I've seen, although their are plenty in the Harvard forum.

it'll help....the admissions director will probably be like "oh, that's cool, then this person probably does know a lot about our school" but it won't help you get in.
