not sure if it is better to post this here or in the transfer forum but here goes.

i am going to be going into my sophomore year at USC this fall. due to a few circumstances i feel i would be better off transferring. i am an EE major with a 3.61 GPA after my freshman year. i am on my school's competition robotics team and will be secretary next year. i have been doing research with a professor since the beginning of spring semester and am currently on a summer research fellowship working with him. i am interested in transferring to Cal's EECS program, specifically the robotics/mechatronics concentration. i'm wondering my chances are transferring as most of the data out there seems to focus on community college students so not sure how exactly they translate to my situation. i don't know if Cal looks at it but my SAT was 800 math, 760 writing, 690 reading and for SAT II a 780 on math II and 710 on physics. as of now Cal and maybe one other school are what i'm looking at, i feel overall i am a better fit for Cal than USC and would love your input.
