What are my chances? Do you think the list is broad enough?

Looks like a good balanced list with appropriate safeties/matches/reaches.

Only question is why you would want to spend private school prices at Davis?

I’m interested in biology and more specifically botany/plant sciences. The price may be steep at Davis, but the program is very strong.

How about adding CalTech, Carleton, Grinnell, Harvey Mudd, Haverford, Kalamazoo, MIT, Swarthmore, UChicago for consideration? They’re all in the top ten for future PhD prep in life sciences.

bump. a little more on chances, please, if possible.

Reach at the Ivies (like everyone), match at most others, maybe safety at some I don’t know. If you are a 50% match at ten schools, you have a one-in-a-thousand chance of not being accepted at any of them. :-)
