Chances on transfer admission to the University of Florida

Just wondering if you guys could give me some insight as to what my chances of getting into UF are as a transfer student.

I have my AA, and current GPA is a 3.5

I am a Finance major, have taken all the required pre-requisites, and have also completed 2 internships at some fairly well recognized investment firms. One is here in Florida, and the other was in New York City. I can most likely obtain a letter of recommendation from them, if it is necessary.

Please let me know what you guys think my chances are for admission in the fall.
Thanks!
-Mike

No one has any input for me?

UF usually accepts candidates with AA from CC around the Gainesville area. I do not believe it show be a problem getting in but UF is a very requested school so you give them a call and find out your chances.

so, does that mean since I am coming from another 4 year university, and not a CC, I won’t be admitted to the school?

No but Florida CC have a special program with State schools that once you complete your AA and required requisites for the school you are being admitted (pre-med, psychology. Etc) you are guarantee acceptance. It worked with my and FIU and I know for a fact that a lot of kids that do not get in UF go to Gainesville to get their AA and transfer to UF (sorry I do not know the CC name). If you have good stats I do not see why you will not be accepted at UF too.

Thanks for the feed back. Im pretty sure the CC in Gainesville is Santa Fe, but i’m not 100% sure. The thing is I was planning on moving out of state to attend school in New York. But, as you can see, my plans have changed, and I am now planning on staying in Florida. I just hope this switch doesn’t hinder my chances of getting in to UF.

Does anyone else have any additional information regarding the admission chances from a CC, as opposed to another 4 year university?
