Well, my freshman and sophomore grades sucked.
Chance me off of academics.

I go to a top public school in northern california.

Freshman and sophomore year i got a 3.2
But then i decided to try Junior year.
Got a 3.8uw, 4.2w/
By the time i apply, i am expecting my first semester grades of senior year to be 4.0uw 5.0w.

I have an ACT of 32.

Do they take ACT?
DO they require SAT2s?

My essays will destroy washingtons brains.

UW reviews all applicants on an unweighted 4.00 scale. However, if you show a positive grade trend, you're in a better position. To get an idea of admission numbers regarding GPA, check out this little handout: admit.washington.edu/files/PDFs/FreshmanHandbook.5.pdf. Based solely on academics, you'll have at least a good chance if you continue to pull your GPA up.

Your ACT score is competitive and will help. Yes, they do accept the ACT. More info here: http://admit.washington.edu/Apply/Freshman/Tests. They do not require SAT Subject Tests.

UW accepts more students from California than any other state except Washington, but I'm not sure what the stats are. If you're confident about your essays and continue with the positive grade trend, you should have a strong set of extracurricular activities and community involvement. Then you should have a solid chance of getting in.
