I'm a female from South Carolina, a pretty good public high school, offers a pretty good amount of AP/honors courses. It has sent about 5 grads to UNC in the past 5 or 6 years.

4.0 unweighted GPA/ 5.05 weighted GPA (on South Carolina scale)
Top 2% of my class (6/240ish)
SAT: 1450/1600, 2120/2400
ACT: 32 (33 superscored)
AP's: 5 on Calculus, 4 on Statistics, 4 on US History, 4 on English Literature. I am enrolled in Economics, Government, Physics C: Mechanics, and European History.
Major: Elementary Education

I have pretty good EC's, different varsity sports, academic team, president of young democrats and my school book club, secretary of beta club, church activities, etc. I was a junior counselor/work crew at a summer camp two summers during high school, June-August.

My recommendations were pretty good, and I had a really good community rec from my camp director. One of my essays was about a camp counselor I had so the two kind of work together.

I have heard from a lot of people that getting in OOS is IMPOSSIBLE, it doesn't happen, but I have heard from others that it's not THAT bad, you must be a top student, but it's not as bad as everybody says. A caucasion female from my school got in a few years ago with a 1350ish score, decent class rank, decent ec's, but nothing that makes her really stand out.

One week left to go, I just wanted to know if I should get my hopes up.

GO TARHEELS
