School doesn't rank, but counselor gave a generous estimate on reccomendation forms of top 5%
Good essays and very good recs

EC's
4 Year varsity softball, captain 2 years (not good enough to be recruited, but will play either as a walk on, club or intramurals)
5 years travel softball (softball is where her passion is, essays reflect this).
NHS-NHS really does stuff in her school, Vice President senior year
School Satire magazine-contributing writer

Not many awards other than softbal MVP, little meaningless stuff like honor roll, Who's Who, Nat Society of HS Scholars. Oh, and NM commended student.

Community Service
Math tutor
Shovels snow for senior citizens through local organization, received commendation from mayor
Volunteer tour guide at Tibetan Art Museum

Wants to double major in Communications/Journalism and Poly Sci. Does not want a small school..wants at least 9 or 10 thousand students. Prefers the east, but does not want any schools in Boston or New England in general. Wants to be in or near a big city, or at least a large college town.
Here is her list and how I see it, any opinions would be welcomed.
The list isn't in any order, she loves each of these schools. Also, looking for merit money when available and money is an issue which is why no ED.
