Counselor Rec: 8.5/10? big school so he doesn’t know me super well but he does have to spend more time on me b/c of national merit

bump

I would definitely say accepted. What state are you applying from?

You can be full pay?

Thank you! I’m applying from northern VA just outside of DC

Yep, my parents are willing and able to pay full tuition and they’d actually be quite happy with the rate at GT compared to other private schools I’m considering.

I also think you will get in with those test scores, being female and your ECs look great.
Math is just amazing at Tech. Chemistry I am less familiar, but
sure to be a top program. We agree with you and your parents ,Georgia Tech is a bargain compared
to privates. We are saving $80K over four years at least. And you can also become a resident assistant
in a freshman dorm to save money on housing after the first year. Class size in math classes is
small, like 30 or even less per class
by the time you get to upper level classes, , my son says. CS and other engineering subjects, class size is somewhat larger.

Case Western Reserve U in Ohio, is also good for math and chemistry, and they offer merit, bringing the costs down
t a bit lower than full price at GT.

Good luck.

Wow you should aim even more prestigious ivies

With a school that admits fewer than one in four who apply, nothing is ever definite. Keep in mind that getting into a school isn’t a matter of how good you are or your worth. Also, with Tech, ability to pay had no bearing on your decision. Best wishes and you will certainly did well wherever you end up.
