Chances out of state =)

GPA: 3.68 (i still need to calculate the uc gpa).
SAT: 630 M
720 C
680 w
composite= 1350, 2030

Recommendations are good.
EC's are decent.
Essay is good i think.

So what do you guys think?

GPA should be higher. Since you're out of state, you're going to need to have a higher GPA to be competitive. SAT score is good, 2030 is right where you want to be. Where are your SAT II scores?

The University of California, comprised of Berkeley, LA, San Diego, Irvine, Davis, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, Riverside, and Merced DO NOT accept recommendations. End of discussion.

I think you're on the right track to getting into UC Irvine. Just raise that GPA of yours and take your SAT II subject tests.

Okay, Point Zero, in MY opinion you're blowing this out of proportion. I used to be a student at a High School institution and i used to be hella worried about getting into any U.C Was a 3.79 GPA and a 1930 SAT score enough? Was me being in over 3 clubs (and holding an officer position in one), being on two sports teams, marching band, ETC enough!? The answer is HELL yes. Hell, even my friend with a 3.4 GPA and a 1830 SAT score got in. This concludes my bitter rant against the U.C Admissions system. If any of you prospectives have questions, i have a throng of crazy U.C statistics ready at my disposal.

Match. No recommendatoins needed.

what are your crazy statistics concerning uc admissions iloveants? lets see em.

Why are you bitter? Just because California lets in other people who are not as smart or don't have "a throng of crazy U.C statistics" that makes you bitter?

how is transfer out of state for transfer students? just as hard?

Sorry i failed to clarify. I just think the U.C Admissions system is not, lets say, extremely impartial. My friend who had a slightly lower GPA and 80 points less on the SAT got into UCSD. (i have just a little more E.C's than him.) Also, another person i know got into L.A but got rejected from Davis. How does that work? L.A is way more selective than davis!
