Chances out-of-state?

Oh no! I just read somewhere that only 14% of out-of-staters get into the University of Missouri-Columbia. I had always seen the acceptance percentage being around 82-89%, and I never even remembered to think that it's a public school, so it's eassier to get in in-state.

I'm completely crushed. Does anyone know if this is the actual number? There's no where else I want to go :(

I did really well on the SAT, but my GPA will probably only be around a 3.3-3.6 range. I have a pretty interesting academic story, so that's why there's a big difference between the GPA and the SAT.

If you want to see my stats just view this thread: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=236136%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=236136</a></p>

Do you think maybe the stat was 14% of the students are from OOS, rather than they only admit 14% of OOS applicants?
