So there it is. I would really appreciate any imput about my chances. Thanks. (By the way, I'm out of state.)

Your gpa is low, and with only 2 APs they might question your strength of schedule. Bad strength + not top grades isn't good. However, W&M is not a strictly numbers driven school, and they will look at your entire application. They will like the upwards trend. If you can show a big commitment to one of those ECs, that would be helpful.

W&M out of state is very hard to get in.

my school only offers 4 ap classes (2 per year starting junior year.) So technically, my schedule's not really weak.

are you a male or a female? i believe, it is more difficult to gain admission as a female because more females apply to w&m for some reason. either way out of state admission is extremely competitive.

i'm a male.

if your school doesn't offer many APs, than that makes your app much stronger, and in that light I think you have a solid chance (it's still very competitive, obviously)

Hey BigE,

What state are you from? If you are visiting in October, I'm going to guess you are from the East Coast, which doesn't help you much.

You have good SAT I & IIs, so that helps.

Your grades will be OK with your upward progression and NHS. I hope you took the "Most Challenging Courseload Available," though. If you didn't, you may have a problem.

I think your acceptance will be sealed with good recommendations and an excellent portrayal of who you are and why W&M is the place for you in your application. Obviously, applying ED will help.

If you have any questions about W&M and admissions, feel free to ask me.

Good luck!
