Any thoughts??

i would reccomend retaking your sat … preferrably a 2300+ for the ivyes

if you retake the sats and get 2200+ i think you should be set for a majority of the other schools. i think your best bets are probably hopkins, gtown, and cornell. good luck!

I am taking the SAT 1 and the SAT Math 1&2 in Oct. & Nov. It seems my SAT score is approx. @ 40percentile @MIT,45%@Tufts & Penn,50%@ Dartmouth,&between 60&70% @ Cornell, J. Hop. & Georgetown. Hopefully I score higher on Sat., If not I think the rest of my profile is pretty strong. We’ll have to hope it’s good enough. Good thing is I’ll be happy @ any 1 of these schools.

Decided against MIT& Tufts. BUMP please & chance Carnegie Mellon & Univ. Rochester & BC

bump please

Excellent chance at CMU, Rochester or BC.
Very good to Excellent chance at Georgetown

Cornell, Penn, Dartmouth, Hopkins

Your stats are competitive for these schools. Better SAT would help, I suppose on a ‘more is always better theory’, but I wouldn’t obsess over it. 2150 is fine for these (or any other school). The unfortunate fact is that each of these schools will receive applications from far more highly qualified applicants, such as yourself, than they can possibly accept, so no one can really predict whether you will get into any one of these schools.

All you can do is apply to a number of them.

Thx Zephyr, It is amazing how many great applicants don’t get into some of these schools. My cousin couldn’t get into MIT with a 2200. He went to Carnegie Mellon. He’s now getting his PHD in Micro biology @ MIT with a full scholarship nd being paid 32k per year to boot.
