Hi! Chances of me being admitted to petroleum engineering at the following schools given my credentials???

Male - 17 - Senior

Colleges I’m applying to:
A&M
UT
TTech
Baylor
UofH

Weighted GPA: 3.95
Un-Weighted: Unknown
Class Rank: 217/648 - 33% – Competitive school but I slacked off and struggled a lot with depression

I took the SAT once without preparation. I’ve signed up to take it again along with the ACT.
I think my score will improve a lot if I study.
SAT (CR+M): 1270 - 680 Math - 590 CR
SAT(2400): 1810
ACT: Scheduled

4 AP Classes
Everything else Pre-Ap
Honor Roll

ECs: Lots including Boy Scouts, an internship at an oil & gas company and varsity tennis.

I’ve completed all three essays already and I’m currently waiting on my two recommendation letters to come in then I will apply.

I want to go to A&M or UT but with my low GPA and unsatisfactory SAT score right now I doubt it’s an option.
I like TTech also.

Tech and UH are possible. UT and A&M are not going to happen, though I might send an app to A&M if I were you. Is retaking the SAT an option for you? I think if you can increase your score to 1900-2000+ you have a much better shot of getting accepted to A&M, though maybe not for pet. engineering in particular since the engineering colleges at UT and A&M (especially the petroleum major) are so competitive.
