And I want to study business

I suggest you look at College of General Studies at BU and the General Studies program at NYU. You can apply directly to CGS but I think you can't apply directly to the NYU program. If you apply regular admission to BU, they may offer you admission to CGS instead.

The reason is that you mention that not many AP's are available and that you've only been able to take some honors classes. CGS is a 2 year program - see bu.edu/cgs and an equivalent website for NYU for details. You go through it and then transfer into your college of choice at BU (or NYU), including the business schools, and graduate with a BU (or NYU) degree.

I'm suggesting this only because your grades aren't that high. I don't know how ACT translates to SAT scores but you're probably a best fit for CGS. It's more structured, with small sections and more direct teacher contact. It might help you succeed at BU.

Being African-American will help you get into schools. I don't know where you're from or the quality of your high school and I don't know you at all, but I suggest that you be careful to pick a school where you will succeed.
