visited and interviewed at WUSTL in July during their "academic exploration" weekend. My aunt is an alumni and i have multiple "connections" to WUSTL, i guess you could say. I will also be applying early.

Your chances are very good, especially if applying ED. I even think you would be a likely candidate for RD, but that is so much more of a crap shoot. Make sure you show the adcoms in your application why Wash U is a perfect fit for you and what you hope to contribute to the Wash U community in turn.

Your scores are a bit on the low to average side of what WashU typically accepts, but I’ve seen many people with lower scores than you get in. Your ECs look pretty good and your AP scores are not half bad, though a couple of 3s. However, considering your applying ED, your alumni and other connections, I say you have a pretty good chance. Just make sure to touch up on that essay and get good recommendations and you should be fine.

I don’t think you’d be likely for admission RD, but your chances ED are pretty fair.
Good luck.

thanks everyone for your input. im working really hard on my essay, showed it to my AP literature teacher and she said it was flawless. I will also have one amazing recommendation from my AP English language teacher from last year and one from the principal of my high school. I also might attach a letter from a few of my connections.

bump…
