I am going to France this summer for a month.

Extra Curricular Activities:

Golf
Varsity (9th, 10th, 11th)- My high school team is very talented (we have won the state championship for the past 4 years in a row). I placed in the top 15 in the state my sophmore year and 9th my junior year. I also have placed in the top 5 every year at districts. In addition, I have placed very well at other large, state-wide tournaments and i participate in many city-wide tournaments in the summer. I am a 7 handicap.

Swimming
Varsity (9th, 10th, (serious shoulder injury in 11th, i had surgery 5 months ago for it)) I will swim again senior year.
I placed in the top 16 in the 50 Freestyle and 200 IM at Conference Freshmen year
I placed in the top 8 in the 100 Freestyle, 100 Breastroke, and 200 IM at my conference meet sophmore year.
My team made it to state in several events (difficult in my state because there is only one, combined class. Also, we are a very small school).
Qualified for state in the 50 Free and 200 IM my sophmore year
Qualified for state in all 3 relays my sophmore year

Music:
I have taken piano lessons for 10 years (i haven't done any competitions though for piano)
I play oboe in my school band (class every day) and chamber orchestra that meets after school twice a week.
I have participated in my city's Youth Symphony for all 3 years of high school. We have 3 hours of rehersal a week. I was second oboe for 2 years and was first oboe last year. I will be first oboe (hopefully) again next year because my audition went well.

Chance me at--

Dartmouth (ED)
William and Mary
Williams
Middlebury
Davidson
Yale
Northwestern
Penn (legacy-father)

sorry i forgot to include my senior year schedule:

AP French
AP Government
AP English Literature
AP Chemistry
Band
AP Statistics

The only weakness that I can pinpoint in your app is the SAT score... I think that you would need 2200+ to significantly boost your chances at the Ivies on your list. If you do raise your score by 100 points, I think that you have as good a chance as anybody at the schools on your list.

Do you plan to get recruited by universities for sports?

Dartmouth--Reach (but not impossible)
William and Mary--I will be shocked if you don't get in
Not sure about Williams and Middlebury
Davidson--Good Chances
Yale--Reach
Northwestern--Good Chances
Penn--Not sure.

My one bit of advice: Your SAT scores should come up.

If I may, I would like to suggest the following schools:

Vanderbilt
Wake Forest
Emory
Duke

You seem like a great match for all of them.

Dartmouth (ED)-slight reach
William and Mary-match
Williams-match probably
Middlebury-high match
Davidson-?
Yale-reach
Northwestern-high match...but not impossible
Penn (legacy-father)-reach

You have everything, but your SATs should come up a tad bit. Other than that, everything looks great.

yes i have a chance at recruitment for golf at dartmouth, williams, and middlebury.

That's excellent! This should significantly boost your chances for admission... I would say that you should get into Williams and Middlebury, with a great shot at Dartmouth.

Yale, however, I'm not so sure about because (as I said before) the SAT score is not spectacular.

However, since you're doing Dartmouth ED, it's obvious that's where you want to be, so I would bet on getting accepted there w/ recruitment.

But seriously, raise your SAT score by 100 points and you're IN.

thanks! and yes, yale is definitely not my top choice, i might not even apply there.
