what i meant was i didnt want any of that "ur stats suck but who knows" bullsh1t. just your opinions on how my stuff compares with other applicants' and acceptees.

I'd tell you if you sucked. All we can tell you is that you have a decent chance and that you basically wasted your time by asking, because I'm sure you knew you had a chance.

I'd say your about in the middle of the pool, you have above avg SATs, but your GPA is below average, your applying international, so that hurts abit, and you have no real catch in your ec's unless you have like 1000 volunteer hours or something unlisted.

I'm a part of varsity tennis and Model UN at my school (and I have a few smaller things from past years--Student Council Treasurer, Class Council Treasurer). That's pretty much it. It seems to me that if ECs are very important, then I'm pretty much screwed at most of the schools I'm applying to. Any thoughts?

slaparound... thought you might be interested. I just got off the phone with an AdCom at Cornell. Douglas Finnigan was his name I believe. Either Finnigan or Binnigan anyways, he sort of mumbled. Anyway, looking over your post I noticed this:

"english language 4"

Mrs. Binnigan was very specific in communicating to me, and others (it was a teleconference) that a 4 in AP English Language is, in her words, "simply not acceptable." Of course, I'm paraphrasing. Besides that, you're a shoo-in
