Chances...please be polite, but honest lol.

<p>hehe I know I'm about to be bashed by u geniuses at stanford, but do I have a shot?</p>

<p>*I am an Asian Indian from one of the best high schools in oregon (won top AP school award this year) and am top 10 in a 500+ class.</p>

Physics 2-A,A
Spanish 2-A,A

Health 2-A (req)
PE-A (req) </p>

<p>*I'm projecting to finish high school with around a 3.7 or 3.6 UW...maybe even 3.5 worst case senario in IB diploma (aka f-ing hard) classes.</p>

<p>*Varsity tennis 4 years
*Science Team 4 years
*World Quest Trivia 4 years
*Science Club VP
*Math Club VP
*Portland Youth Philharmonic 3 years
*National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine Nominee
*National Honor Roll
*Mathfest Algebra 2 1st place fresh year
*OIMT Participant Fresh Year
*Mathfest Participant sophomore year
*Oregon Museum of Science and Industry Rising Star Program (will have 150+ hours done)
*Mathcounts Tutor (about 30+ volunteer hours)
*expecting around 2000-2100 on SAT, 29+ on ACT</p>

<p>You're fine.</p>

<p>I really messed up in my sophomore year; it was worse than yours.</p>

<p>Write a great essay.</p>

<p>Get high scores on SAT and ACT.</p>

<p>You're good to go.</p>

<p>"*National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine Nominee
*National Honor Roll"
Stuff like that is meaningless. Concentrate on meaningful accomplishments.</p>

<p>IB isn't harder than AP, so make sure yout GPA is as high as humanly possible.</p>

<p>so your going to be a jr right?
how have you played varsity tennis for 4 years?
or does your high school recruit middle schoolers?
and the whole "expecting around 2000-2100 on SAT, 29+ on ACT"
YOU CANT PREDICT YOUR SCORE!!
gahhh, drives me crazy people who do that
you dont know what you will get, dont bother predicting
or are you just showing exactly how smart and confident you are
that you just KNOW you will do fantastic??
your not god, you dont know what will happen tomorrow
none the less your test scores a year+ from now
im not trying to be mean
just helpful :)</p>

<p>you need to raise those expected scores a bit to have a better shot at Stanford. go for 2200+ and 32+ and u'd have really good scores. 29 is on the low side.</p>

<p>don't worry about that one B, thats pretty stupid. you will clearly be able to make up for that in later years.</p>

<p>your activities are really really generic, have you WON anything through your clubs? if u tutor people in mathcounts, u probly did AMC/AIME, any state-level or higher awards? how far did u guys go in world quest? did you get to nationals? etc.</p>

<p>"I'm projecting to finish high school with around a 3.7 or 3.6 UW...maybe even 3.5 worst case senario in IB diploma (aka f-ing hard) classes."</p>

<p>A 3.5 UW is VERY low for Stanford no matter how hard your classes are. I was accepted w/ a 3.8 and I think that was definitely on the low side. You seem to be carrying about a 3.9 right now so don't sell yourself short. Keep up similar grades (a B or two won't kill you) and land a 2200+ SAT score and you will have a legitimate shot.</p>
