Chances Please CAS & LSP ED1

<p>I'm currently a junior. I am an African American female.
My course load has been all the honors and APs offered at my school(except 2 dueto limited space in my schedule)</p>

<p>My GPA is 3.8 UW and i plan on getting at least a 2250 on the SAT
I plan on getting at least 700 on the Physics and Math 2 SATII</p>

Med Tech: B( a half year elective that I didn't try hard for. I want to be pre-med. Will this look bad?)
Anatomy &Physiology: just started 2nd semester( is a half year elective)</p>

<p>I know I will have some really great teacher recommendations. My teachers love me. I have unique essay topics picked out already.</p>

Minds in motion award( award for maintaining an A avg with sports)
Will probably be a National AP Scholar by end of senior year</p>

<p>I have done track and field since 8th grade (both winter and spring seasons 9-12 grade except for winter season sophmore)
I volunteer at a hospital
I volunteer at my local church
I am president of our church youth group
I am a part of my local key club
I am part of Mercy Medical club for 2 years( got cut due to budget cuts this year)

Several shadow days at hospitals
I am a hired tutor for a distinguished company
I am getting a summer job at the mall hopefully( i do not know if this is relevant information or not. I keep seeing people talk about work experience)</p>

<p>Would my ethnicity help greatly?</p>

<p>@TrackJunior515 Unfortunately, for NYU, it will not. NYU has one of the most diverse campuses in the United States and because they receive so many applications from so many different ethnic applicants from around the world, being African American will not be too much of an advantage here. </p>

<p>But regarding strictly your numbers: They’re great! Keep it up with second semester of junior year and I’m sure you’ll be considered a great applicant for NYU.</p>
