Chances Please (Comp Sci)

Cal Poly GPA:
3.66w

SAT I:
780 M, 650 V, 690 W

2120, 1430

21+ hours in extracurriculars and “yes” to working in field.

Applying to Computer Science and Poly Sci as a second option.
I thought about going Computer Engineering as the second choice but I know it’s easy to switch between Comp Sci and Comp Engineering.

I’m scared my GPA is going to hold me down. Especially because I have B’s in Junior year Honors Pre-Calc and a C in Chemistry. Hopefully my SAT scores will help me get in.

Truly you are ridiculous to even ask with those scores you are in. You should be applying to UCB, UCLA and UCSD.

Only on CC........

how many hours do you have for "work hours" section

its not ridiculous at all.... UCB UCLA and UCSD would be a reach because of the gpa. but as for cal poly... i think you will be okay because your SAT balances it out.

The well above average test scores will make up a great deal for the GPA.

10-15 for work hours. The only thing that worries me is how some majors are harder to get into than others and I'm not sure where Comp Sci ranks on that list.
