Surely you jest? LOL. Great stats. Relax. Is Fordham your top choice? Is so, tell them so. Its a great school. Plenty of kids at Fordham with stats like yours, by the way. And many have significant scholarships.

Yes. Look on their website. First there is a Freshman Honor’s program, which actually is a misnomer because it lasts all four years, is quite rigorous and the workload is horrendous and grade deflation, I have heard is daunting. Its very small, like 25 kids. Prestigious. However, there are more ways to skin a cat, so to speak. There are upper classmen honors programs in several areas, including Business, American Studies and Journalism, varying by department, offered to sophomores with a GPA above 3.6 (cumulative) generally. The Freshman program is a set program and some kids dont like it. The other avenues provide you with ample opportunity to explore what you want, major in what you want, or double major, or major-minor, your choice. Just a thought.

My understanding is that Fordham admissions makes all the Honors offers with offers of admission to the people they select out of the pool of applicants. They review all applications for scholarship potential and honors potential. How they make their decision(s) is anyone’s guess. I have no idea what their formula and requirements are, but rest assured its pretty steep. Not to worry, as you can get a nice scholarship offer, and/or grant in aid. The benefit of all of this is you simply have one application to submit and leave the rest to them.
