There might be other things I can't remember right now.

My recommendations should be excellent and he essays should be pretty good too.

Thank you very much for the help.

first off (and this goes to all the "chances" threads), no one should take too much stock in these responses, since no one knows how the admissions process will work out. even past alums will admit that the admissions process change almost yearly. i personally think it's sort of silly to even ask (no offense), as it really doesn't make any difference anyway (by this time)

anyhow, your grades are very very good, as are your scores and extracurriculars. they're definitely far above or at least on par with the past history of most current mit students. i don't want to say your background will give you an edge, but it definitely makes you stand out a bit more. is there something else that you're passionate about or focused on that could set you apart from other applicants?

i'm also kind of confused as to why you didn't take the SAT yet, but i guess that's just how you kids roll these days =)

another possible concern might be the number of AP classes you're taking (since it appears you've only taken 2 before). i don't know how rigorous AP classes are at your school (they were pretty tough at mine), but if you get deferred and your grades suffer, then i guess that might hurt you for RD?

i'd still recommend that you stop depending on punks like me for reassurance =D, chill out a bit about applications, go write the essays sincerely and like you mean them (i think that's the most important part), and enjoy your senior year while you can

best of luck to you!
