Don't worry, you'll most probably get in. I know it's easier said than done (I remember waiting for college decisions...I didn't like my future looking unclear...it's scary not having any clue which part of the country you'll be in for the next 4 years of your life), but relax and things will work out, I promise!

There is ALWAYS a chance you get rejected. I mean...hell they might read your SAT score as 1530/2400 somehow. Or they lose your app. Or somehow there is a typo on your transcript indiciating you have an 86 insetad of 96. But...chances are your in. :P

Ren man maybe you are actually scared, but I feel like this is one of those posts where the guy like constantly puts himself down just to hear everyone say how good his stats are...now im not tryin to be mean or anything, im just kiddin around (a lil)...but also, i know what you mean about the paper, definite time commitment...are you having like your journalism teacher/advisor write a supplemental rec for mich for you? i think thats what im doing

Umm, looks like you haven't researched UMich at all, or you want reassurance.... Hmm

I wish I had your gpa... and SAT

Also, I saw that you posted the same thing in the Cornell boards. I think you will get into Cornell, but I'm not really positive. However, check Michigan's freshmen class profile. Seriously.

If you did your homework, you would know Michigan's mid 50% SAT range for last year's freshman class was 1260-1480. Your SAT is 1530, which obviously puts you in the top 25% of the class. It doesn't take a Mathematician to figure out that a 95%+ average is a 4.0, which again, places you in the top 30% of the Michigan class. In other words, you have a good chance of getting in. Obviously, Michigan being a top university has been known to turn down students of your calibre, but it isn't common. This said, Michigan has been getting increasingly tough to get into, and if this year is anything like last year, students with your credentials will get turned down at a higher rate. In other words, you have a good shot, but do not make Michigan your safety.
