hi i am white got to catholic private school in new york
i have 10 honors classes in three years and senior year i have two classes for college credit at a local university
99.88 average
SAT's mid 650 range as of now i have been studying for the whole summer SAT 2's in the fall as well and i am going to take a try at the ACT as well
extracurriculars- retreat leader for 3 yrs member of student activities commitee-middle states team member tutor and other substantial activities

here's the schools i am interested in:
-big ones-
Yale-desperate to go there
NYU
BU
Holy Cross
Cornell

-safties-
fordham
marist college
loyola college

please help!

Can you post more information? What extracurriculars are you involved in? Any leadership experience etc.? Is that average unweighted or weighted? if it's unweighted that is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD.

no that is weighted unweighted is close to 98 and i edited with my extracurriculars

i am also applying SCEA to yale you have no idea how much i want to go there lol

I don't know exactly how much of a chance you have. Here are some of my thoughts though...

your SAT scores aren't the best...when you retake aim for 700+ on each section
your EC's aren't the best...there are many people applying to Yale with ridiculous amounts of awards and EC's they are dedicated to
your courseload does not include many AP courses but I'm not sure your school offers them and you have the two college classes which is good
your GPA is spectacular however

Yale and Cornell are going to be high reaches
I don't know much about the rest.

***** Take whatever I say with a grain of salt. Keep in mind that I am also in high school and am just saying things based on the experience of other people I know.

i appreciate what you are saying my SAT's i am well aware of and i have heard from guidance counselors etc that my extracurriculars are superb and also my school does offer ap's but my parents wouldn't let me take any because my sister (my twin) had a nervous breakdown our frosh/soph into junior year and my parents kind of just got over it so that is the stor i was debating whether i would include the info about my sister and that being my forced descion for my classes in the added information portion of my application

please help i have to get to yale what should i do

"i am well aware of and i have heard from guidance counselors etc that my extracurriculars are superb"

-haha well in that case, ignore what I said about your extracurriculars not being amazing.

lol thtas ok.........anyone any other comments i would appreciate the help
