-recommendations are amazing (my teachers had me read them) and my essay brought tears to my guidance counselor and english teacher.

how am i doing? any info is much appreciated!!!!

Hmm, your grades see pretty solid, your test scores could use a little bump if you shootin Cornell and Tufts. You're ec's are okay, the world travel bit seems to be interesting. I'd say in at Tufts.

your selling yourself short if you think Cornell is a huge reach. Granted it is a reach, but I'd agree with previous posters saying it is a slight reach. I say in at Tufts as long as your essays are strong. Good luck!

Raise ur SAT II's a bit and you will have no worries. where you are now, all but Cornell are really good chances, but for Cornell try to raise your scores a bit. Still, even there, you've got a pretty darn good chance :)

yeah, they only reason Ive been doubting cornell is b/c of my sat IIs. you cant just sub them with an act w/ writing. also, id definitely go to tufts over cornell so i havent thought about it as much. right now i just gotta finish the personal essay, but ive been so anxious about it its been incredibly difficult to write.

I found out today that I got a 5 on the ib physics test. also I go to a rural school that sends maybe one kid a year to ivy. how does this affect me?

Also, i come from a rural high school of about 2100 that only sends maybe 1 kid to ivy league per year. Any APs it offers ive taken besides bio..My UW is 94, and I got a 5 on the IB Physics test (if thats relevant at all)

The responders seem exuberant with your chances. If you made the published photographer out as bigger, it might be an serious asset. I've got to call in at all of them, even though Cornell and Tufts will be close.

-I have a thread in this forum to which I request you respond.
