Chances Please! NYU, BU, Middlebury, Amherst...

First of all, I know NYU/BU and Midd/Amherst are almost polar opposites, but I can't help myself. I'm a big fan of those 4, but I'm not really sure about the rest of my list, so if anyone has any opinions on UCLA, Berkeley, Columbia, Wash St. L, GW, Northwestern, Brown, or others, please feel free to share.

Rising senior at top AZ public school
Haven't received my rank yet, but I'm guessing I'll be in the top 10-15%
GPA (UW) = 3.8
GPA (W) = 4.5

AP US Gov & Politics (5), AP US History (Self study, 3), AP Spanish (taking this year)
IB SL Spanish (6), IB SL Theater (4)

SAT 1-- 1950
M--620
CR-680
W-650

SAT 2 Math 2--670
I'll be taking SAT 2 Spanish this year and feel pretty confident that I can get in the mid/high 700s.

IB Diploma Candidate (11 IB courses total junior and senior year); most rigorous curriculum available

ECs:

Heavy heavy involvement in my school drama club. I have taken theater classes for 3 years, stage managed 3 mainstages and participated in some capacity in every show and almost every event we've ever done whether it was acting, selling tickets, making costumes, building the sets, or writing sketches. I was treasurer last year and will be VP this year. I would estimate that I've put close to 500 hours into this club over the past 3 years. I've also won a few awards for leadership and performance, as well as honors from the International Thespian Society.

I've done several small and one time only community service projects, as well as been a summer camp counselor, and religious school TA for a year.

I was a Unitown (diversity camp) delegate my sophomore year and am going to apply to be a counselor this year.

This summer I attended the Middlebury-Monterey Language Academy in Spanish where I spent 4 weeks speaking only in Spanish.

Thank you so much! Any input is appreciated!

what confuses me is why you got a 4 on your theatre exam when you seem so involved with it?
I don’t know that much about the IB track (in my state there are few IB schools). I would say that all the schools are low-mid reaches right now, except for BU. However, if you get your scores into the ranges for NYU and Middlebury you stand a chance. As it stands, I think amherst is a huge reach. Are you looking at safety schools?

I’m thrilled to have a 4 in IB Theater because, in all honesty, I put very little time into those projects. I didn’t plan ahead well at all and really did a bad job on them. It’s not a sit down exam where you answer questions about theater history or perform a monologue or anything.

I’ll definitely apply to my in-state schools as safties, so that’s fine.
