These are the schools I am applying to! Please chance me
Boston College (Early Action)- Evaluate whether you think applying EA is going to increase my chances
Northeastern (Early Action)
University of Richmond
Boston University (Am also applying to Kilachand Honors College)
Penn State University Park (Also applying to Schreyers Honors College)
Colgate
Carnegie Mellon
Muhlenberg
Lafayette
Franklin and Marshall
SUNY Geneseo
RPI
Dartmouth (would be my top choice school, but I acknowledge that it is a reach)
Cornell ILR School (I also acknowledge that this is a reach)
Harvard (OBVIOUSLY a reach, but I do have a legacy, and am only applying to appease a family member.)

Oh, also, one hook I may have is that I am a first generation college student. I’m honestly not really sure if this makes a difference.

hi gibbons. your information is pretty close to mine but slightly better (and I happen to be also looking for chances at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1411720-please-chance-me.html</a>)
And yes, first generation college student could make a difference, as you said, it is considered a “hook.”

Boston College (Early Action)- EA increases your chance, however, didn’t the deadline already pass for that? High Match
Northeastern (Early Action) Match
Boston University (Am also applying to Kilachand Honors College): Low Match
Carnegie Mellon High Match/Reach
SUNY Geneseo Safety
Dartmouth Cornell and Harvard Yes, these are reaches as Ivies would be for almost anyone

I say its a good list although I am not sure about half of the schools on your list because I have not really heard about them. I’m guessing you live around Boston (given that your schools are all around there?)

Thank you very much for your opinion, I appreciate that! The application deadline for EA for BC (and actually Northeastern as well) has passed, and I submitted my applications and materials on October 21st, so I should be good in those terms!

I actually live in New Jersey, I just really truly love Boston and see myself there in a year from now.

I will make my best attempt to chance you back. Thanks again!

???These two statements tend to contradict each other. Please explain.

My uncle (fathers brother) went there. Maybe this does not even count as a real legacy, but I was going to mention it on my application anyway.

I am first generation because none of my great grandparents or grandparents went to college and neither did my parents. I will be the first in my line of succession.

My uncle is also the family member that I mentioned appeasing.

Bumpppp bump bump
