im going to visit the campus soon in a week or so: i am really looking towards this school, ive heard from everone that its great

Im learning how to fly because i love aviation, but just as a hobby I want to go into medicine and do a political science minor

You look good but I don't see anything there that makes you "jump out" or seem particularly unique, especially given that your SAT verbal and GPA are good but not particularly stellar. This doesn't mean you won't get in, but you'll have to find something that stands out about you and write some awesome essays.

And just so you know, Brown doesn't offer minors. Given our open curriculum, it's fairly easy and common to take two concentrations (majors) or just take a bunch of classes in an area you're interested in if you don't want to formally declare the concentration.

will i be able to take an alumni interview where i live, before i send my application?

Alumni interviews usually take place after the application deadline.

question about brown ..... i did really bad on the SAT verbal (610), but got a 700 on writing, and a 4 on AP english; does this compensate?

sat is not the only thing for christ sake. start worrying about your essay instead. they give that just as much if not more according to admissions reps!

top 15% is not that good

Top 15% of 51 people is very good. No worries.

Im an EDer w/ legacy and 710 V 720 M and 690 writing, im top 5%, and I have 5s on AP US hist and AP lang, 4 on bio and 3 on world hist, and I am concert master of orchestra, I've played a number of sports, Im debate captain, and I dance. Lots of comm service, but who doesnt. I've tutored from econ to chess, and done work in South America. Im an Ap scholar, a Kodak leader, and I've won a national fellowship of which 50% of its participants go on to ivies. How do I fair?

Don't worry vardhan616, you'll get in...as long as you aren't a telugu boy named harsha
