What major will you be applying for? Some are harder to be admitted to than others.

I’m interested in business, but I fear that will be really competitive, so that leaves me kind of up in the air. Undecided I guess. Thanks for any input.

I’m only a rising junior so this may be of little help, abut I also hope to go to NC State for Biology.

Your UW GPA seems a little low, however your rank and extra-curriculars prove to be an asset for you. It’s all down to you’re SAT. I would aim for above a 2000 in SAT. Take it this October, if you have the time.

I know a guy that got deferred from NC State, he went to Ardrey Kell HS, was the captain of the debate team, won national competitions and was a pretty smart guy. However his GPA was a UW 3.3 and he got a 1780 or 1870 on his SAT. He only took 6 AP classes in cumulative, and complained that NC State wants more than 6. However 6 is the least amount they expect you to take. (My mom called the admissions board of NC State)

I would call them if I were you, tell them your postition and see what they say. They’re very kind and are always open to prospective students!

Good Luck! :D

Thanks for the optimistic, I appreciate the reply. Any other input,…please??
