Yep, I got in EA.

awesome! hope to see you there...

I dont think there has ever been a "chances" post on the ND forum that has had 2 pages until mine. I'm honored... haha

jhoopster87, your a junior interested in ND for next year right?

yep, im a junior looking to apply in the fall.

Definately keep in touch and let me know if you guys make it, I would love to actually meet you once you get out to South Bend. I know there were a ton of people that I talked to on these message boards when I applied that I wish I could have met but they just disappeared after they got in. Hopefully you guys will make it just so one day I can congratulate you on getting in! Good luck!

jhoopster, your stats are very similiar to mine (except im not being recruited for any sports), are you trying EA in the fall?

I dont know, i really dont know if i should and if it would help or hurt me. anyone care to share if they think i should EA or not?

i think it's awesome you were so determined to get into ND, and you did it. You are Rudy! I applied RD, and this wait is torture. I'm from public school in so. calif. and i have a SAT 1360, tons of EC's, my school is a very rigorous school. i'm catholic. i'm in my 2nd yr. of AP Calc and Physics, also in AP econ, AP Eng Lit, Varsity Lacrosse, was team captain on JV, and my recommendations from Calc and Physics teacher were excellent. 4.2 weighted GPA. But i know i still need a miracle...If you are anywhere near the Grotto, pls light a candle for my, i would so appreciate it. i went to the summer experience this past summer and had the time of my life. i don't want to go anywhere else.

jhoopster, I would definately go regular if I were you, going EA will hurt your chances (learn from my mistake unless you have your heart set on EA).

Peter, I think you have an excellent chance from what you are saying. I should be by the grotto tomorrow and as long as I think of it I will light a candle for you. I have been meaning to go down there anyways, I love going down there (especially at night). Good luck, you will be in my prayers.

thank you, Irish. i really appreciate your words and prayers. it's awesome how much you appreciate being at ND.

You will appreciate it just as much; it is not hard to appreciate this place once you get here. Notre Dame truly is everything I hoped it would be and more and I feel that being here is making me a better person, which that alone is worth its weight in gold. The classes are top notch and the sports teams are getting there (well, football at least). Where else can you have the best of both worlds? It truly is Catholic Disneyland in my opinion. Okay, enough of my rant, good luck! Let me know when you hear (should be coming up here pretty soon)!!!

I would say, get your ACT to 31 or SAT to 1400+, then go for EA. Otherwise, stick with RD. Definitely try to break into the 10%, too.

Catholic Disneyland. well said! and funny. thanks again.
