Chances please? Weak GPA :(

<p>GPA is 3.0 </p>

<p>My story: I used to live in new york and now I'm in CT in new york there were no honors classes and pretty much you were given a schedule and just expected to follow and all you could really do was switch to different teachers and periods or drop classes. I'm in CT now and took some honors classes because my counselor said I was good enough to be in them, I was trying to get some magnet classes but they're mostly full and the ones that aren't are pretty much not something I want to do like spanish. I did my first two years in NY and my last two I'm finishing up in CT. I want to an Aerospace engineer or Mechanical.</p>

US history: B+
Non honors classes

Health: A-
GYM: P=passed</p>

<p>Is there any classes that people can suggest to make me look better for an engineering degree. I take med careers because nursing is my back up if I fail to get into an engineering college.</p>

<p>I need at least one because I have these waivers but can’t truly decide which out of the 15 colleges I narrowed it down to to use them on.</p>

<p>You have weak grades and weak EC’s. not good. Also seeing your test scores would help.</p>

<p>that said I know very little about the south so I wont say anything about those schools but chancing on the others:
SUNY Buf - low match
UCONN - dont know but probably a match
U Florida - again I don’t know it well but from what I do know a reach
BU - reach
City - match, more or less
MIT - forget it</p>

<p>BU would be a huge reach and I wouldn’t waste cash attempting to get into MIT.</p>

<p>Whew, with those scores you might want to look at some schools a little less difficult to get into. Forget Georgia Tech, BU, MIT, UConn, UFlorida, definitely. Maybe you can get U central florida. I don’t know about the others.</p>

<p>Also look at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, that’s an engineering college that you have a shot at.</p>

<p>Low reach? does that mean I have a better chance of getting into that then I do a regular reach or harder?</p>

<p>Anyways I’ve already taken a second one I’ sure I bumped my Math up into the high 500s and my reading to the mid 600s.</p>

<p>Writing I probably did worst then last time.</p>

<p>EDIT just looked at WIT and it only offer’s a BS I’m trying to get a MS.</p>

<p>wwhat does it matter if WIT only offers BS? Most schools do. you have to get your BS before you get your MS…you could probably get in there though</p>

<p>Well I want to get into a college that I can get my BS and MS and I don’t think I’ll have the money to pay for a MS in another school.</p>

<p>I want to get into one of those BS and MS programs.</p>

<p>I just wanted to know if I had any chance I was never going to fill out the application, I been to MIT and don’t really like the environment as much I as liked BU’s and NE’s environment</p>
