Chances please? WSU, WWU

Hey everyone!
This is my first post here, woohoo!!

I am in a really complicated situation right now and actually pretty late for applying to colleges, but anyways.
What would be my chance of getting into Washington State University and Western Washington University - based on these stats:

GPA: 2.03
SAT: 153
Critical Reading: 430
Math: 550
Writing: 550

I am a permanent resident of the US, and went to school in Germany where I attended a German gymnasium till my junior year.
My GPA is based on my grades in Germany only.

I started to attend High School in the US since last year in September and this is my senior year. I live in WA state and my GPA based on my grades in the US is a 4.0 so far - without AP classes.
I am currently also a Running Start student.

I've applied to the University of Washington and don't think I'll have a chance but I wanted to take the risk anyways.
What do you think would be my chances of getting into WSU and WWU?
Would it even be worth to apply to any of those schools?
I will graduate from HS with 30 credits from my Community College and I could attend till I get my AB and then transfer.. but my sister got accepted to WSU and some other colleges, and I really want to attend college with her.

Thank you!

Your GPA is quite unfortunate.
Especially since you seem pretty successful in your senior year so far.
I don’t know what advice I should give you :(

wow where do you live now in WA? im in tricites  can you explain more about why you went to German (study, or etc ) lol

wsu, uw, wwu is not that competitive. uw is better than wsu of course (academic, football and program) after graduating wsu its hard to find a job than uw.

take your time. get transfer degree of your CC. it wont hurt you. it will polish ur record anyway/ cuz all those school highly accepted transfers.

if you want to go to the University so bad than Eastern washington university is not too bad yeah?

idk, i think take ur time to get to uw is better than rushin now man. just opions

:D

thanks aheadofthegame! I know… it sucks
knader, I went to Germany because that’s where I was born and raised.
I am a German citizen and I’m also a permanent resident of the US because I have a greencard but I lived in Germany for 18 years and lived in WA for like a few months now…

Really? I’d love to go to UW but I don’t think they’ll accept me. My sister lived here longer and her GPA is better so she got into WSU and the University of Idaho already - and I wanna go to college w/ her
Nah, Eastern would be like CC from what I’ve heard… but if I wouldn’t have a chance at WSU or WWU I probably have to get my Associates first, I guess.

Nice! I live further up  Near Olympia actually.

If you’re getting a 4.0 now, then why is your Cum GPA so low? Does that mean that you had some D’s before?

My cum. GPA is so low because it is only based on the grades that I received in Germany.
I didn’t have D’s, just a lot of C’s and a few C-'s, I think.

Anyone who believes that admission to Washington, Washington State and Western Washington is not competitive is fooling themselves. There’s a high demand for seats at 4-year colleges in the state and a lack of seats for everyone who would like to attend those schools.

Since the passage of the Anti-Affirmative Action Initiative years ago, admission to colleges in Washington is very much numbers based. Not exclusively so, but your standardized test scores will be important. As an international student whom will spend his senior year in the state, you need to get first hand advice from an Admissions Office Representative.

well my CC has lots of kids transfer there successfully. UW,WSU, or Central washington. still opinions. and agree cousellor would help you more …

LakeWashington: thanks for your input! I already contacted Admissions from WSU and WWU but they weren’t able to tell me anything, so I applied to WWU and see how that goes. I am not an international student.

knader - same here at my CC!
