Please tell me the truth what are my chances on a scale of 1-10?
Thank You in advance

so yea, why are you stealing my thread?

Princeton, your stats are probably the same as everyone applying there. The fact that your Indian won't help you any. You have amazing stats so don't come here for an ego boost. Don't tell me it's a "What's my chances thread?" thread, I doubt you'll have any problem with stats like those.

princetonfreak, shouldn't you be sticking to your own thread?

Berkeley-I consider this a reach since you are out-of-state.

What does your GPA mean in the context of your school? Seeing that you go to a competitive high school, the grading scale might be harsher, and as it is quite prestigious, schools would know this. Retake that Physics test if possible, if you can score 700s I would say that even Penn might not be THAT big of a reach.

About Physics.. does it really matter? Penn wants 2 other SAT IIs and Math and a Science is recommended for SEAS. But I have 2 other SAT IIs.

About my IIC, I know 720 isn't that great of a score but I'm only taking Precal + Calculus this year. Do you think theyll keep in mind I havent learned all the material on that test?

Also, I don't know what that GPA means ^_^;; we don't rank. But I assume it isn't that great since it's equivalent to 3.3UW

A math and science is generally recommended, but you could send the math SAT 2 and another one.

I'm pretty sure they'll see all your scores, whether you put it on your app or not, because you have to send in your score report from the college board as well as putting your scores on your application. As Physics SAT IIs are generally quite important for Engineering schools, having a 580 I believe would be quite detrimental to your chances unless you took it in 9th grade or without having taken a Physics class or soemthing.. Being Female and going into Engineering will probably help you a bit, but not that much, make sure your essays are fantastic :) Ivies really look at essays, recs, etc. a lot more than other schools.

i can tell you munkee that Penn is a humounnggous reach for you. Your SAT I matches mine, but my SAT IIS and GPA was higher and Ive done alott of extracurriculars and my teachers and counselors probably wrote me great recs...and I got rejected ED.
ED! So yea i would say it would be a reach...my GPA on your scale would probably go around a 94 or 95/100 W, and 92/93 UW

did you do engineering? I had an interview with an admissions officer for around 2 hours if that counts. Also I'm getting a supple rec from someone who's a relative of the dean of engineering.

GA Tech is a piece of cake with your stats and being out of state
