Summer's:
After 9th grade:
Attended CTY Summer Program at JHU, and took Accelerated High School Chemistry
Played in regional golf tournaments, placed in top 3 in a few tournaments.

After 10th grade:

Recommendations:
Both teachers will be excellent, will also have one from my the head of the lab I do research at.

Other stuff:
I am graduating high school early, hence nothing going on in 11th grade. This is why I have to take US History and Gov, and two English classes this year. The reasons for graduating early are various, and both academic and social. Ex: Was prohibited from taking community college classes because of my age this year.

Also, I switched schools (and states) from 9th to 10th grade. This, and the graduating early, are why I don't have that many leadership positions. I also missed both science fairs at both schools.

Thanks!

Scores are top notch, ECs are average, GPA I can’t tell with your system, and rank sorta sucks.

Really sucks you’re graduating early… not only did that prohibit your chances of taking community classes, but it gives less of a basis for them to judge your rigor on, and it no doubt would have hurt your involvement in additional extracurriculars. And plus, you’ll be a year younger than everybody else in college.

Chances… um… are slightly above average for Princeton. But I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere great.

I got all A’s in all my classes, so the GPA is basically a 4.0. Class rank is because I switched schools from 9th to 10th grade, so I lost honors weightings in 4 or 5 classes (History, Spanish 3, Pre Cal, Stats, and Calc) . Otherwise I would be in the top 5 :(

As far as graduating early… I am already really bored with school, and I don’t enjoy being there at all. I think I did a really good job explaining this on the common app (there is a question for this), and all my teachers and my counselor are fully supportive of it, and I think they mentioned it in their recommendations. I’m not really worried about being younger, as I get along better with the grad students at my internship than with my classmates at high school.

I considered the EC, community college, etc stuff before deciding to graduate early. I decided I’d rather spend a gap year continuing my internship and taking the community college classes and reapply (if I don’t get in anywhere), as opposed to spending another boring year in public school.

Thanks for your thoughts!

bump… anybody else?
