Chances please!

so nervous about the EA decisions coming out, as NU's my top choice at this point!
I'd appreciate an honest chance :D

Stats:
GPA: 4.16 weighted
SAT: 1980 (590 CR, 660 M, 730 W, 11 on essay)
top 30% of class (really competitive high school)
tons of ec's, and really good recommendations

all of my classes have been honors and ap (with a few cp electives freshman year), grades have been on an upward trend, although i did have trouble with H Precalc last year and got a C+. by the time i graduate i'll have taken four ap's

senior grades for this term were by far the best i've gotten so far, with all a's and a b+ in an ap class.

also, im interested in the biochem major :)

“Tons of ECs” means very little. What about leadership roles? It’s quality, not quantity, that counts with extracurriculars.

You have a decent chance of getting into Northeastern, looking only at your other stats.

well, I’m president of my art club, and i do a ton of volunteer work at my old middle school…im also a regular member with high positions in a couple of other clubs, like a literary magazine comittee, and i also do compete in a competition regularly as i have been for the past couple of years…that’s what i remember off the top of my head.

still really nervous! thanks for your input

My advice- just don’t think about it. Yeah, it can be nerve wracking waiting for decisions, but you’re probably better off just waiting it out than having us pick your resume apart.

Just remember, at this point, there isn’t anything you can change, so just focus on other things- for instance, make sure if you have any finals this month that you’re prepared for them -whether or not you’re accepted, you won’t want this semester to end on a sour note and make any schools second guess. If you don’t have any concerns like that… just enjoy yourself. Come college time you’ll suddenly have more and less free time than you’ve ever had before simultaneously, and you’ll long for the simple days of high school (or at least the eight hours of sleep a night).
