Hello, I am currently a junior at a prep school in South Eastern Pennsylvania, my academic career has been filled with ups and downs.

Going into my freshman year at a new high school, my grandmother died in August whom I was very close to. I took care of her over the summer, and pretty much watched her die and it was very hard to go through. My freshman year I pretty much was depressed and ended up with a 2.6 GPA, however I managed to win the academic achievement award for computer science.

Sophomore year was going great until mid November when my aunt finally passed away from her battle with lung cancer. I also took care of her over the summer of freshman year and once again my grades suffered and depression hit me again. I ended up with a 2.8 GPA that year.

Junior year so far I have a 3.43 GPA through the 1st two quarters, and plan on raising it to possibly a 3.6. I also got a 183 on my PSAT.

ECs: FIRST Robotics, academic competition, March for Life club, varsity ice hockey, Theatre Society, stock market club, intramural soccer and volleyball, Club ice hockey, eBay powerseller, jv lacrosse, and 40+ hours of community service.

I plan on addressing my two years with depression in my college admissions essay.

To recap
Freshman GPA: 2.66
Sophomore GPA: 2.68
Junior GPA (2 Quarters): 3.43
PSAT: 183
