Chances please?

Hi, I recently applied for a Spring '13 transfer to TCNJ and I would like to know what my chances are. I currently go to Rutgers and transferring to TCNJ for accounting. I'm gonna be a sophomore in Fall so I'll have 3 semesters done before going to TCNJ if i get in. My current GPA is 3.94 and my HS GPA was about 3.7. I've held a job for over a year, did some community service and worked on an internship for about 10 months. The only thing that weighs me down is my SAT score, which is a 1000 combined (Math and CR). I really want to go to TCNJ so if anyone could give me what my chances are, it would be great! Also, I'm sending in 2 letters of recommendation from my previous professors and I believe my essay was good.

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think SATs count as much for transfers so with your ECs and grades, I’d say you have a very good chance at getting accepted. I’d still contact TCNJ though to inquire about the relevance of your SATs.

Thanks! I’m just scared because my SAT are really horrible

Great chances. TCNJ does not care as much about SAT scores as larger schools. SAT scores are used more by larger schools to weed people out. I got a 1200/1600 and got in Early decision, with a HS gpa of 3.90 so I’m sure you will get in. Just be prepared for accounting at TCNJ; not to scare you but TCNJ accounting students have the second lowest GPA’s on average after mechanical engineering majors.
