Chances Please...

I am a high school senior applying to Columbia University, Georgetown University, Case Western Reserve University, and Ohio State University (I live in Ohio).

Although OSU is my safety I am applying to their Biomedical Sciences program, which I know is very selective (15-20 students a year) and their Eminence Scholarship (I have no idea how many of them they give out). I am applying to Case's Pre-Professional Program for the 8-year med program, and to Georgetown's School of Nursing and Health early action for the human science major.

I am a white girl going premed. My school is decently competitive, the majority seem to go regional (esp. University of Toledo, they love us) but we also send a lot to OSU, Michigan. Not too many ivies, but I can't count how many times my class has been told we're the best (smartest) class in a while (all of the honors classes doubled).

Academics

GPA: 4.5 weighted / 3.83 unweighted

ACT: 34 (previous best 31)
34 english (10 in writing to make it 33)
33 math
36 reading
31 writing

Rank: 11 / 240 (4.5%) at a decent private school in a largeish city (Toledo)

I have taken/am taking all the AP classes my school offers.
Government: 4
Literature: 4
Language, Calculus, Psych in spring

I am a National Merit Commended Scholar.

Extra Curriculars

I have played soccer and run track all 4 years and will have 8 varsity letters when I graduate. I broke 2 freshman records in track. I'm a captain on the soccer team this year (was JV captain freshman yr). I have the academic award in both.

I was in the marching band for 3 years and a section leader my junior year.

I've been in NHS 3 years an am an officer this year. I was a Regents Scholar (not really sure what it is, I just filled out the application) last year and will be next year.

I have about 425 volunteer hours now and plan to have at least 450 by graduation. I have volunteered at 2 hospitals, the library, the Down Syndrome Association, Special Olympics, and both my parents' churches (methodist and catholic) and gone on an annual mission trip to appalachia every year through the methodist one.

I currently work at McDonalds and will have been for a year as of Nov 1. I also referee soccer and had a babysitting stint at my church as a freshman that I got paid regularly for.

Chances for any of them?

Another thing I'm worried about is if they see I didn't do the IB program. Our school made a huge deal out of it but the majority of honors students kept with AP (in fact lest year was the first year any of the IB students actually got the IB diploma). I did have to take a few college prep and standard classes this year (2) because I ran out of honors classes, but I don't think IB was the right fit. Was that a bad decision?
